Branson, MO to Host 2024 Crappie Expo

One of my greatest memories as a child is from a family vacation we took to Silver Dollar City in Branson, MO. During our vacation we booked a charter on Table Rock Lake and were able to catch crappie, enough to bring back for a memory-searing fish fry.

As I heard the news about Branson hosting The Crappie Expo this coming fall, I thought to myself, “What a fantastic location for this event…I’ve gotta get up there to experience this.”  If you’ve never experienced the Crappie Expo, you’re missing out on a jam-packed show that focuses on the latest and greatest crappie fishing products on the market today.

In addition to products, the Crappie Expo showcases the top industry leaders and manufacturers in the world of Crappie fishing. The relatively young expo is only in its 6th year but is attracting up to 25,000 crappie fishing veterans to the three-day show.

One unique feature of the expo is that there is always a theme. This year’s theme is “Technology of Crappie Fishing.” With all of the latest innovations in crappie fishing surely to be featured, the show will be a great opportunity to try out some of the latest and greatest technology in the sport like electronics and high-end lures.

As usual, the main focus of the show will be the main stage where Title and Platinum sponsors will be able to showcase their products daily. The Crappie Expo will offer a full day of Crappie Fishing Technology for crappie fanatics to learn all of the techniques crappie fishing has to offer.

I mentioned my childhood experience with my Branson fish fry, however, that cookout has nothing on the World’s Largest Crappie Fry which is a part of the expo. The Fry will take place at the Branson Convention Center on November 2, 2024, from 11AM to 2P.

“We are so glad that the World’s Largest Crappie Fry is returning to Branson!” said Terra Alphonso, VP of Destination Sales and Sports Development. “While folks are here for the 2024 Crappie Expo, we hope they’ll enjoy some of our world-famous live music shows, family attractions, great shopping, other Ozarks outdoor adventures, fabulous food fare, and our genuine Ozarks hospitality.”

I couldn’t agree more!
